Students love to use these game boards to practice flash cards in centers. To play, each student needs a game board, set of flash cards, a game piece (I use Teddy Bear Counters) and 1 die. I print one board for each student so they do not get upset if a friend accidentally knocks their piece out of the way. Students take turns taking a card and reading the word (or solving the addition problem, etc.). If a student gets stuck on a card, I encourage students to help their friend so he/she can roll the dice. This year I gave each of my students their own personal set of flash cards to use based on their inventory test. It helped a lot with sight word recognition!
